Easter Egg Hunt 2011
Last Easter was out first year at having the Easter Egg Hunt and it was so successful! There wasn’t a day or evening during Easter Week that there wasn’t at least 50 children (and adults!!) with their noses stuck into shop windows looking for the eggs!! It’s that time of year again and like last year we will visit the 3 local schools in the town and get the children to paint the eggs. The eggs will then will be collected and numbered and distributed around all the shops. Last year 75 shops took part and we are sure it will be the same for the 2011 Egg Hunt, although we hope they hide the eggs a little better - we really think it was too easy last year! (Only joking kids!!)
The hunt will start on Saturday, 16th April and will finish outside Bits'n'Bobs at 4pm on Easter Saturday. You can pick up entry forms in Bits’n'Bobs, Birdy's Newsagent, Keegan's Newsagent and Stationary Solutions from Saturday, 14th April. The prizes will be displayed in Bits'n'Bobs.
So get your pencils and pens at the ready for Carrick's 2nd Great Easter Egg Hunt!!! And for all you mums & dads, watch out at the shop windows there are great bargins.... all to be had in Carrickmacross this Easter.
Looking forward to seeing you all out and about.
Eggs are being donated by O'Gormans Super Valu in Carrickmacross.
